Ceaseless Gratitude

You might think that someone so good would be too cool or over it, like many who received the same accolade, but he's not. He's grateful. His gratitude seems to always lead to a sense of joy and wonder.

Ceaseless Gratitude

This past weekend I was in a state of ceaseless gratitude. Eight of my best friends and two of my cousins came together in the warm state of Arizona to celebrate my upcoming marriage. We enjoyed playing cards, spending some time in the sun, and seeing some of our favorite musical artists.

I felt grateful the entire time. Grateful that so many people would make this trip, grateful for the warm and beautiful weather, grateful for kind concert-goers and for a beautiful sunset, grateful for good food and better friends.

A weekend like this again reminded me of how lucky I am and how much I have to be grateful for.

I have a role model for gratitude, it's Giannis Antetokounmpo. His humility, hard-work, and gratitude has led to him being a 2x MVP, Finals MVP, DPOY, and more. Though only 27 years old, he's already been recognized as being one of the best 75 players EVER.

You might think that someone so good would be too cool or over it, like many who received the same accolade, but he's not. He's grateful. His gratitude seems to always lead to a sense of joy and wonder.

Here's Giannis at the NBA 75 Ceremony telling Allen Iverson that he was the reason he started playing basketball. You can feel the gratitude and wonderment in his eyes.

During the All-Star game dunk contest, Giannis Antetokounmpo was the only player standing on the floor, filming the contest, and having an absolute blast.

He's one-of-a-kind and I constantly see his gratitude shine through.

Gratitude can help in more ways than we can understand. So, let's start now. What are three things you're grateful for today?

Ask yourself the same tomorrow?

I'm grateful for you.

Lots of love.
